A learning intention (also known as a learning objective, goal or WALT) is a statement written by the teacher that clearly describes to the students what they will know, understand and/or be able to do as a result of the lesson they are involved in.

Furthermore Success Criteria (also known as Steps to Success, WALF, WILF or I can statements) explicitly state how students can meet the learning intention in smaller achievable steps.

This resource includes a range of different posters in order to implement learning intentions as a part of your lessons. We have included various acronyms and language to suit how different teachers use learning intentions in their classrooms..
